Report on Grander Conference
In Taos, New Mexico, April 23rd – 25th, 2007

We want to share with you some of the highlights, interesting tidbits, and the essence of what we learned at the Grander conference, hopefully passing along to you substantial benefit of our attendance.

The reason Water Revitalization Limited (WRL- Grander supplier for North America) held the meeting in Taos, of all places, was because the first installation and implementation of Grander Technology at a municipal pool facility in North America took place there last fall. We were given a tour of the facility and a portion of the seminar was devoted to explaining pool science and the application of Grander technology. Although swimming pools are not something in which we are particularly interested, the science is directly applicable to other uses such as hot tubs (we have customers with those) and industrial cooling systems, and is generally applicable to any use of water.

Grander Is Important In Any Water Application

Why do we say that? Consider this: If Grander technology used to treat pool water greatly reduces the need for chlorine (a disinfectant), while increasing the pleasure of swimming, how much more will it benefit your body to bathe in and drink “Granderized” water? Providing water with the ability to stay clean and maintain healthy balance without additives (especially toxic ones!) is an invaluable advantage/feature, which is not available from filters or other water treatments. That is why Grander is so important - it addresses a vital need of which most people are not aware. We are in the business of educating people to their need for living water. The example of what Grander does for swimming pools is a simple and effective illustration that helps us do this.

Truly, the ramifications of Grander technology are tremendous, as we are constantly learning! The list of applications extends to any process or activity that involves water.

Whereas we saw the first municipal pool to be treated here in North America, Europe, which is still very new to using this technology (marketing began in 1989), has over 800 municipal pool installations (not to mention over 2,000 hotels with their pools)! This is just one application. Every home and body needs Grander.

Taos Pool Tour and Pool Science

The Taos indoor pool system installation consisted of a 3” in-line unit on the incoming fresh water and several energy rods distributed throughout the 3 pools, a total of $25,000 worth of hardware treating 185,000 gallons.

Reported by the users of Taos’ swimming facility, and of swimming pools at large using Grander Technology are significantly diminished:

Residual Chlorine Smell on Hair and Person

(This is not to mention what reducing the long-term negative health effects of chlorine exposure and its carcinogenic by-products means for quality of life and longevity.)

When we entered the building we were struck by how little chlorine smell there was compared to other indoor pools. The chlorine usage, we were told, has been cut back from dosing the pool every other day to once a week. The pool manager, Brian Greer, who welcomes contacts and gladly promotes the use of this technology, said that they are putting together more scientific data about the results in the near future.

More Great Benefits

Two more terrific benefits of the “Granderization” of the pools are the de-scaling of lines (Brian showed us a deposit of sediment taken out of the therapy pool), resulting in significant cost savings in the maintenance and lifespan of equipment, and reduced chloramine compounds in the air, which means much less corrosion on facilities, especially the metal frame building, another expensive investment that is costly to repair or replace.

According to Georg Huber, General Manager of Grander, Austria, only those who are certified by WRL (Grander Distributor for North America) are permitted to sell in this market. One must understand pool science and be able to measure its important components. In other words, you must understand the relationship of pH, conductivity, and chlorine (bound/free/ and total), and have the tools to measure these things in order to enter and be effective in this field. Grander/WRL is in the process of setting up guidelines for persons to be certified in technical sales.

Austria is also developing software for pool testing that will help those who become certified in pool science to assess pool conditions by inputting the key data components in the program. Based on the input, necessary adjustments are automatically recommended to balance the pool chemistry. Georg and Kati (biologist and Grander marketing assistant, Austria), gave us a brief demo of the software, which seemed simple to operate, and will be made available to certified technical sales consultants in North America when ready.

Georg pointed out that pool science has much in common with “Process Engineering,” in which the mechanical handling of water in manufacturing facilities includes the same processes of filtering, pumping, backwashing, and at times, flocculation, as in the treatment of pool water. He then made the important connection and implications this science has to the human body – where adjustments to pH and alkalinity follow the same rules. Because Grander technology produces the same stabilizing effect in the body, the importance of this factor in contributing to human (and animal) health can hardly be overstated.

Georg’s Gems: (Some simple, usable, safe - regarding regulatory bodies - statements and information):

“Grander is a physical water treatment that improves the quality of water without any filters or additives.”

“Grander indirectly changes the water – there are no physical changes.” (This is with regards to pH, conductivity, and composition. I believe Georg is using caution here to make sure people understand those attributes are not changed when using Grander technology. What is changed is the structure of water, which has been demonstrated anecdotally and experimentally to enhance shelf life, solvent power, and microbiological properties.)

“Using Grander Technology is like having extraordinarily good tires on your vehicle. You must still obey the laws of physics but you will have better and safer driving results while experiencing a more pleasurable feel in your driving.”

“Grander Technology works with information storage and transfer. You cannot shield against information transfer. In other words, it is not impeded by physical objects, but is dependent upon time and distance.” (That is why you need the right sized Grander unit to treat the water for best results.)

News Update

The New Zealand government’s case against the Grander distributor for that country was the result of the distributor not paying heed to warnings about the language and claims made on their web site. They were warned, but resisted cooperating with the authorities and thereby ended up in trouble. However, as part of the lawsuit against them, they were given a court order to accept any returns of products from the years involved in the suit, and no users took them up on this offer. They all wanted to keep their Grander systems! That says something loud and clear to all those who think this lawsuit is evidence that Grander is a bogus product.

More Proof

In over 2,000 tests done in Austria, Grander Technology was found to lower demand of chemicals, improve the microbiology of the water, and give the water greater long-term stability.

Another Professor Validates Grander Science

Dr. Eshel Ben Jacob, an accomplished physicist from Israel, has demonstrated in experiments using bacteria that water can store information. Testing with a special bacteria strain and method, Dr. Ben Jacob demonstrated that the bacteria will react differently to water exposed to cell phone radiation versus a control sample, the different growth rate and patterns of which were even visible to the untrained eye. He estimates that bacteria are up to 1,000 times more sensitive than any man-made device in detecting changes in the structure of water!

Another demonstration by Dr. Ben Jacob was with water exposed to a cell phone, which tested the same in the standard, measurable physical parameters as identical water not exposed to the cell phone, yet people could perceive a difference in taste.

The upshot: Systems that are alive (humans and bacteria) can experience and demonstrate differences in the quality and functionality of water that machines, which are dead, cannot.

A Useful PhD Thesis Paper

A student in Switzerland, unaffiliated with Grander, did her PhD thesis paper about an empirical study she conducted of industrial users of Grander technology. The paper has not yet been published, but the results were made available to Grander, Austria.

Of 38 contacts, 33 completed the questionnaire, and every one of those reported being very satisfied, or satisfied, with their purchase and installation of Grander Technology.

A Useful Grander Resource

WRL has put together a modular, expandable Grander Reference Manual. It covers common water treatments, Grander history, technology, product overviews, applications, technical information, applications and checklists, water articles and more. It costs $50 plus shipping, and is well worth it for anyone that wants to sell Grander. In fact, it is mandatory. The Reference Manual also comes with sales distributor kits, which are available to anyone that became a Grander distributor before such kits were instituted. The manual will be constantly updated and augmented, without charge.

A New Direction

With resources like the new Grander manual, WRL is putting more focus on support of distributors, which will help all to be more professional and do more business more effectively. The WRL website is working on listing all distributors so that prospective customers can call you directly about Grander products and placing orders. They are also instituting a website with no links or routes back to the WRL website, to avoid confusion for potential customers you send there to view resources. We will keep you posted on when this becomes operational.

New and New-to-Us Products

The Grander Bed Tube is a new offering, which, filled with Grander Information Water, is placed under the mattress, promoting restful sleep. After finding out how much of a difference the Grander Pendant makes in the way we function, we are sure we will find these tubes to be of great help to many. At $75 (USD) retail, it is a small price for what we expect will be a great value.

Another relatively new product that we have not yet carried, but heard great reports about at Taos, is the Grander Cushion. Just trying it for several minutes impressed me so much that I bought one, and will let you know more about it as we use it here in Helena, where we do a fair bit of sitting at work on the computer. (Update: Sara says the Grander Cushion makes sitting much more pleasurable, like “sitting on air.” I agree. It seems like your circulation isn’t cut off as it is without the cushion. We both like it very much, so it is obvious I will need to order another one. They are $165 USD retail.)

The Sanomag

A long time mystery, the Sanomag (no one from Grander ever seemed to want to sell us one!), was demonstrated by Georg (at our request, of course!). This product is not related to water, but to Johann Grander’s work with magnets predating his water inventions. The Sanomag (literally, “health- magnet”) can be used for personal health issues and energetic balancing of home and office. It is made of permanent magnets using different metal alloys that produce a balancing effect on the surrounding environment. Mark had a persistent chilled and painful muscle on his side, and after a few minutes with the Sanomag, it was gone. There have been some very interesting testimonials from Europe about what happens when used in home and business. We are expecting good results when we begin using ours and will keep you posted.

There was also a short talk on setting up a Grander booth for health fairs or trade shows with a demonstration of promotional materials available from WRL. If any of you are planning on doing anything along these lines, contact us for more information.

Attending this conference once again reminded us of how good and unique a product line we have, and how greatly Grander is needed everywhere. There is not a person, household or business that would not benefit by using this technology, often with cost justification in hard cost savings.
