Multi-level Marketing Businesses (MLMs)

There are those who have questions about being involved in Multi-level Marketing (MLM). Some have enjoyed it and prospered in many ways- financially, physically, mentally, socially, psychologically and spiritually. On the other hand there are those who have been hurt by MLMs in all of these ways. Using an example prevalent in the news today as an analogy, there is good food, as produced by responsible, local organic farmers and then we have the Chinese imports with nasty chemicals and who knows what in them. All food is not equal because it is food; so with MLMs.

Personally, I have been involved in a few networking businesses as they are called. My first foray into MLM was Amway in 1971, long before Harvest Haven existed. While it cost me financially, at least initially and directly, I must say I profited from Amway in several other ways. However, as an income-generating business, I would not recommend it, not as it was then and not as I am told it is today. See Amway - Whence Cometh It?

There have been several MLMs over the years, there are thousands today, and the “buyer must beware.” As I said, all MLMs are not equal. However, there are some relatively decent ones, contrary to some self-righteous, bitter, religious condemners, who paint all of them with a broad brush, simply because they are MLMs.

As with almost anything else, an MLM can be likened to a tool. Take a wood chisel, for example. One can do anything from skillfully creating a beautiful carving to making a disastrous mess. There are those who take a violin and draw tears of joy, while others take it and draw tears of pain. To be sure, there are also good violins and bad violins. But let us not trash Stradivariuses with cheap violins, and let us not blame those successful and skilled because of the ineffective results of those who are not capable or willing to do well in certain matters.

One of the MLM companies with which we at Harvest Haven are involved today is Hsin Ten Enterprises, which is the worldwide distributor of simply wonderful products like the flagship Original Sun Ancon Chi Machine, the Far Infrared Dome (HotHouse), and the Electro Reflex Energizer (ERE). Many make an income, all in proportion to their opportunities and efforts. In the process, they help others in their health and wealth. It has been very good for all concerned.

I know of nobody that has been harmed or disadvantaged by Hsin Ten as an MLM distributor or as a client, unless they were at fault somehow themselves. That is not to say that Hsin Ten, its products, its distribution, marketing or financial reward systems are perfect (there is nothing perfect in this world, not in MLM or anything else); Faults abide everywhere there are people, period.

But I have seen much good in many ways with Hsin Ten and all the aspects I have mentioned related to this company. We at Harvest Haven, along with countless others, are very thankful to God, Who brought Hsin Ten Enterprises to our door. Many have a new lease on life because of Hsin Ten’s products and services.
