Real Milk Paint®

 

Milk Paints

These two walls are painted with Real Milk Paint ® of different colors

• Environmentally-friendly milk paint.
• Made from 100% organic materials: purified milk protein, lime, natural fillers and pigment.
• Contains almost one third pharmaceutical grade high calcium lime.
• Does not contain Kaolin Clay as a filler which can be derived from radioactive clays.
• Does not contain solvents (Zero V.O.C. = No Volatile Organic Compounds).


• Comes in a water soluble powder.
• Does not jell within a day of mixing like other milk paints.
• Can be used for minimum two weeks up to one month after mixing.

• Ideal for antique furniture, decks, floors and walls.
• Sticks to raw wood, plaster, dry wall, stone, unsealed brick and concrete.
• No primer needed on raw wood and porous surfaces.
• Will not stick to oil base clear finishes and some painted surfaces. Please see "How to apply Real Milk Paint ® to an Unknown surface" and "How to Paint Walls."


• When curing, lime goes through a process called carbonization. This means that it absorbs carbon dioxide from the air.  Real Milk Paint®, when used on interior walls, gives you cleaner indoor air quality.
• Is a porous paint which will breathe and allow the exchange of moisture.
• Virtually odourless during application and while drying.
• Dries fast (30 minutes to 4 hours depending on ambient temperature).


• Provides a variegated, slightly streaky finish and texture which can be sanded for a smoother result.
• The pigments are harvested in the traditional manner and are completely safe, eco-friendly, non-toxic, lead free and not radioactive.
• Available in 28 traditional colors which can be intermixed to create over 100 colors.


• Container sizes:
16 oz: makes 1 pint and covers +/- 35 sq. ft.
32 oz: makes 1 quart and covers +/- 70 sq. ft.
128 oz: makes 1 gallon and covers +/- 280 sq. ft.

Gift Boxes: 4 brushes and 4 pints of assorted colors (Cobalt blue/Goldenrod/Bright Red/Terra Cotta or Yellow Ochre/Mustard/Green/Pale Salmon)

Tung Oil

• 100 % pure China Tung Oil: no additives or distillates
• Made by cold pressing the seeds or nuts of the Tung tree
• Best grade, number 1 yellow, is a natural “honey” color

• Will not build a glossy or heavy finish, no matter the number of coats
• Will penetrate deeply into the wood to enhance character and water resistance
• Naturally polymerizing finish
• Has zero VOC's
• Cures by oxidation not evaporation
• Forms a flexible, water proof finish
• Resists abrasion and acids
• Does not blister or peel if properly applied
• Does not mould or darken with time like linseed oil


• Long shelf life (will last for years when properly sealed)
• Concentrated (can be thinned one to one to double the coverage)
• Combine with Real Milk Paint® Citrus Solvent for an all natural finish


• FDA approved for food contact
• Perfect for wood bowls, counter tops, outdoor furniture, decks, wood siding, wood flooring, concrete, brick, or any porous surface that needs an environmentally friendly product


• Available in the following sizes: 8 oz., 16 oz., 32 oz., 1 Gallon, and 55 Gallons
(coverage 300 to 400 sq. ft. per gallon)

Dark Tung Oil

• Made by cold pressing the seeds or nuts of the Tung tree
• 100 % pure China Tung Oil: no additives or distillates
• Best Grade 1 yellow Pure Tung Oil with a non-toxic, naturally occurring resinous hydrocarbon for color
• The added resin is non-carcinogenic and does not contain any PCB's


• Perfect for wood bowls, counter tops, outdoor furniture, decks, wood siding, wood flooring, concrete, brick, just about any porous surface that needs an environmentally friendly product
• FDA approved for food contact
• Will give your work an instant antique, flexible, water-resistant finish
• Can be worked into the cracks and corners much like a glaze, giving the appearance of an old surface and patina


• Will not build a glossy or heavy finish, no matter the number of coats
• Will penetrate deeply into the wood to enhance character and water resistance
• Naturally polymerizing finish
• Has zero VOC's
• Cures by oxidation not evaporation
• Resists abrasion and acids
• Does not blister or peel if properly applied
• Does not mould or darken with time like linseed oil

Citrus Solvent

• Natural and safe alternative to paint thinners
• Use as a direct replacement for mineral spirits and odorless mineral spirits
• Replaces toxic chlorinated solvents, glycol ether, MEK (methyl ethyl ketone), xylene, Freon, and CFC’s parts cleaner


• Made of 98% pure citrus peel oil extracted from the peel of the orange fruit and 2% water
• Is "Water Clear" (and not deep orange like lower grades) so it will not add more amber color when mixed with Real Milk Paint® Pure Tung Oil and Dark Tung Oil
• Does not contain any emulsions, surfactants or any other additives unlike other paint thinners
• Environmentally friendly: can be easily disposed of with no threat to the environment
• Does not damage internal organs when breathed in, unlike paint thinners


• Very versatile, it can be used as hand cleaner, floor cleaner, carpet stain remover, engine degreaser (automotive, aircraft and aerospace industries), metal cleaner, tar and asphalt remover, asbestos shingle remover, graffiti remover, printing press cleaner, electronics cleaner, aerosol ingredient, fragrance additive
• Excellent degreaser
• Use as a grease trap maintainer and in lift station and sewage treatment applications


• Available in the following sizes: 16 oz., 32 oz., and 1 Gallon

Clear Carnauba Wax

• Provides a rich, satin lustre to a finished surface
• Excellent hard drying paste wax for furniture and wood surfaces
• Economical for large surfaces


• Formulated with imported carnauba wax for added hardness and surface protection


• Comes in 16 oz. cans (covers 125 to 150 sq. ft.)
